Minor Bantam Select Wins Ajax Christmas Tournament
Congratulations to the Minor Bantam Select Ajax Knights for celebrating the holiday
season in style by winning the Ajax Minor Hockey Association Select Christmas
Tournament. After going undefeated in
round robin play the Knights took on the Whitby Wildcats in the semi – finals. The Knights started the game strong and kept
the pressure on Whitby for the entire game coming out on top with a convincing 4-0
win and advancing to the finals against the Oshawa Hawks.
With the championship set for the afternoon at the Ajax Community Centre, the Knights took to the ice for the finals and continued their strong performance scoring 3 goals in the first period and added a fourth goal in the second period. While the Oshawa Hawks tried to mount a comeback Ajax was able to hold their ground and fend off the late 3rd period charge going on to win the tournament championship by a score of 5-3. Congratulations to all the boys, coaching staff and parents.
