RETURN TO HOCKEY - The First Week is in the Books
After COVID19 shut down hockey operations in March 2020, AMHA players, coaches and trainers took to the ice this week after seven months away. Though the return to hockey looks and feels a lot different this season, everyone seemed very excited to be back in a hockey arena and back on the ice. As the article below states, “life felt almost normal for that hour while the kids were on the ice”.
A huge thank you goes out to those volunteers (coaches, trainers and managers/COVID representatives) who have stepped up to make this season happen in light of all its restrictions. The AMHA cannot thank you enough as without volunteers; we could never have done it without you.
We are extremely proud of our players and parents/guardians for embracing the changes in protocols put in place by both the AMHA and the Town of Ajax this season. We know some of the limitations are not what we are used to but we greatly appreciate and thank everyone for adhering to them. Together we will get through this.
Below is a link to an article posted by the OMHA. Take a few minutes to read it. The takeaway is “Being a Hockey Parent is about so much more than Hockey”.
