Midget A Teams Wins Keuren Memorial Tournament

Congratulations to the Ajax Midget A Team on winning the Adam Keuren Memorial Tournament in Grimsby this past weekend.

After defeating the Barrie Colts (4-2) and the Brantford 99ers twice (5-1 and 6-0) during round robin play, the Ajax Midget A team when on to beat the home town Grimsby Peach Kings (3-0) in the semi-finals to make it to the championship game.

Facing Innisfil Winterhawks for the cup, the Midget A boys kept it close in the first period but played hard to finish with a strong 4-2 final to win their first tournament championship. Well done boys!!

Congratulations to the players, coaches and parents.
