Bantam AA Wins Wounded Warrior Tournament
Submitted By Carrie Reynolds on Wednesday, December 2, 2015
Congratulations to the Ajax Knights Bantam AA who travelled to Detroit this past weekend to compete in the Wounded Warrior tournament and came home with the championship!

The boys started off in a tough match with the Wyandotte Warriors and came away with a 2-2 tie. The next game against the Mt. Clemons Wolves finished in a lopsided 18-0 victory. The score may not look like it, but the boys did a great job not embarrassing a much weaker opponent and was thanked by the opposing coach afterwards for their clean play and sportsmanship! On Saturday the Knights hit the ice in two close games. First up was the Geneva Cyclones and a winning goal with under 90 seconds remaining gave us a hard fought 2-1 victory. In our last game of the round robin we played the West Dundee Leafs and came up against a hot goalie but with a chance to play for Gold on the line the boys continued to fight and netted three third period goals for a 4-1 victory. On Sunday morning the Ajax Knights took to the ice with a chance to win Gold in a rematch against the Wyandotte Warriors. It was another hard fought game between these two teams that even saw Ajax have to kill off a 97 second 6-on-3 Power Play for Wyandotte! The hard work paid off and Ajax walked away with a 4-1 victory and the championship! The boys celebrated by standing on their blue line post game and singing "O Canada"!

Congratulations to the team, coaching staff and parents.

Go Knights Go!!!!!
