AMHA and PHA Announce Exciting Partnership!
Submitted By Jana Komisar on Wednesday, July 16, 2014
The Ajax Minor Hockey Association and the Pickering Hockey Association are very pleased to announce that there will be a House League Interlock between the two Associations.
The Executive of both Leagues are very excited with the opportunity for all the players to experience playing different teams and even having a game in another Arena.
There will be one away game and one home game for each House League Team. All divisions will take part. Initiation (Tyke), Novice, Atom, Peewee, Bantam, Minor Midget/Midget and Midget/Juvenile.
There are still some Logistics to be worked out but the ground work is in place. The Schedule with the Interlock games will be announced in Early October. The games will be played in normal time slots as per each League.
The games will not take place until after balancing. They will count in the standings and all regular stats will be included.
It is a perfect match for both Associations as they are very close to each other and the Arenas are only 5 minutes apart. Each League will still hold there own playoffs but there will be a Champions Game between to two Associations Playoff Champions at each Level in Early April.
This is a excellent way for us to build a Stronger Community in the Durham Region.
Yours in Minor Hockey;
