Submitted By DirMarket on Tuesday, January 21, 2014
The Knights Midget A team travelled to Sarnia on the weekend of January 17-19 to compete in the prestigious International Silver Stick Finals and brought the championship home!

After going 3 - 0 in the preliminary round our Knights were off to face a very tough Collingwood Blackhawks team in the semi-finals. The action was fast-paced for the entire 45 minutes and the Knights came out victorious with a hard fought 2 - 0 victory.

It was off to the finals against, the Petrolia Oilers, in what was to be a great match up. After a scoreless first period, the Knights struck early in the second period and then added an insurance goal halfway through the third period. After an empty net goal, the Knights laid claimed to the Silver Stick Championship!!!

Captain Zack Hope was named tournament MVP and was named to the tournament All-Star team.

Goalies Andrew Boros and Paul Kumar allowed a measly 2 goals throughout the entire tournament and back stopped the team to victory.
