Congratulations to Jay Jeanes
Submitted By DirMarket on Tuesday, November 27, 2012
Congratulations to Minor Atom AE coach Jay Jeanes who has been named the Pro Oil Change Hometown Hero!

Jay was nominated by the Walker Family.  Here is his nomination letter:

Jay is a young man in his twenties who has no children on our team but has devoted his time and energy to coach our boys.  Jay has gone as far as changing his work schedule to nights so he can be available at all times for the boys.

He is a respected by all the children and parents and he makes the kids work hard at practices and games all the while making it fun. He is teaching the kids respect for the coaches and parents as well teaching the kids about bullying and making sure the kids realize the seriousness of this topic.

Without people like Coach Jay our children would not get to participate in sports. Its the volunteers that really can make a difference in how our children turn out in life and I commend each and everyone out there that can take the time to do it.

Jay was one of 3 recipients of the award nation-wide.

Jay has been given a $500 cheque to go towards a charity of his choice.  Jay has selected our very own Stephen J Budai Memorial Fund!!

From everyone in the AMHA a big congratulations and thank you to Jay and all our coaches and team staff who dedicate countless hours to minor hockey.
