Town of Ajax Protocols (AMHA/Hockey)

The Town of Ajax updated their ice user protocols on Friday, October 22, 2021.  These protocols take effect immediately.

Facility access for ice user groups at the Ajax Community Centre:


  • Dressing rooms will be available to teams up to 30 minutes prior to the permitted time. This time will allow staff to complete cleaning and disinfecting of the dressing rooms between permits.
  • Access will be permitted through all facility doors however it is highly recommended that participants access through the arena entrance associated with their permit to limit the wait times as a result of the need to provide COVID-19 Proof of Vaccination.  Pad 4 (enter through the North doorsPad 3 (enter through the South doors) Pads 1 and 2 (enter through the East doors)
  • Spectators will be granted access to arenas for viewing of games and practices.  Capacity of 90 spectators only (2 per player)

Additional facility information: 


  • Water bottle filling stations will be available 
  • Change rooms will be available 
  • Showers are available 
  • Team warm-ups are NOT permitted in the facility 
  • Concessions are not available at this time 


The following safety measures still remain in effect:

  • Complete Town of Ajax Screening for all patrons (players included) entering the facility.  Make sure to take a picture of the green check mark before submitting.   Town of Ajax Screening Link is TOA Screening
  • Proof of vaccination is required to enter Town of Ajax recreation facilities - patrons 12 years and older.
  • Effective November 1st, 2021 Proof of vaccination will be required for youth (12 + years) actively participating in an organized sport.
  • Masks must be worn in Town of Ajax facilities, until you enter the ice surface.
