Welcome Back to Hockey - 2020/21 Season to Start
The AMHA is very excited to announce that we are ready to start our season this coming week; it seems like forever since we have seen the ice pads bustling with hockey players. As we are all aware, this season will look and feel significantly different from previous years but the AMHA’s main goal for this season is to get the players back on the ice for their physical and social well-being and in a safe manner.
In order to provide the Members with some guidelines and expectations in regards to this season, below is a link to the AMHA’s Safe Return to Play Plan 2020-2021. We would request that everyone please read the document in its entirety and make themselves familiar with its contents (ie. entrance and exit into and out of the facilities, wearing of PPE and spectator numbers). The first couple of weeks will be a learning curve for all but it is extremely important that everyone follow the guidelines set out therein as well as those posted in the facilities in order that we can keep hockey moving forward in a safe manner.
Safe Return to Play Plan 2020-2021
The 2020-2021 Coaches have now been provided with their team’s lists and you should expect to receive an email/call from your child’s coach within the next couple of days and for those teams without coaches, you should have already received an email from the League. Below is the schedule for the next four weeks (subject to change -- ie. practice or game designation only) and we hope to have the remainder of the schedule posted as soon as possible pending approval by the OMHA. Please be advised that as mandated by the OHF/OMHA, the first couple of weeks (at a minimum) are for development only.
2020-2021 Schedule - October 13-November 8
If you have not received a call from a coach or an email from the League by the end of the day on Tuesday, please reach out.
AMHA wishes all families a Happy Thanksgiving and safe long weekend.
Stay safe and we look forwarding to seeing you at the rink.
