If your certifications have expired, the OMHA has a list of Clinics currently being offered. You will not be allowed to be on the bench without the proper certifications.
If you intend to participate as a Coach, Trainer or Manager this season, Hockey Canada has developed an online course that all Team Officials will be required to take. The course was developed to ensure all participants have a full understanding of the Hockey Canada health and safety protocols and are prepared to return to the rink in a safe and healthy manner. If you intend to be a Team Official, please complete the course as soon as possible. There is no cost to complete this course and it can be accessed through your Hockey Canada account. POLICE CHECK LETTERS
You will require an updated police check that includes the Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC). Please go to www.minorhockeyforms.com and click on Ajax Minor Hockey. Click the Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) Request Authorization and fill in the required information.
You will be required to create an account on that site so it can communicate with you via a verified email address.
You will receive back an approved letter that you must take to the police station with you to request your police check. This will ensure that you pay the lower rate for police checks since it is for volunteer work.
TRAINERS
We are also accepting applications for Trainers. If you are interested in being a Trainer, please complete the application found at 2020-2021Trainer Application.
If you are looking to become a Trainer, please visit the OMHA website to register for the Trainer's course. Click here for the Trainer's Courses available.
Trainers will also be required to complete the Planning a Safe Return to Hockey course.
Thank you for your interest!
