AMHA Offers Hitting Clinic for U14 & U15 Divisions
Submitted By Carrie Reynolds on Friday, March 6, 2020
Our Board members have had the opportunity to talk hockey with many of our members throughout the season.  The one consistent message we have heard from them was how can we further support our players to ensure their safety while they enter the early years of body checking.  While we all recognize that there is always a chance of injury, studies however show that the more frequent players are instructed on how to give and receive a proper hit, can significantly reduces their chance of injury.

The AMHA is excited to announce that we have made arrangements with Edge Hockey Academy to run two Body Contact Clinics.  The clinics are open to players who are heading into the U15 (Bantam) & U14 (Minor Bantam) divisions next season.  The cost of the clinic is $15 per session or $25 for both.    The dates and times of the clinics are as follows:

Mon, March 23rd from 6:30-7:30 pm ACC 1

Wed, March 25th from 7:00-8:00 pm ACC 4

To ensure that each participant is provided the opportunity to learn and participate through the various drills, the sessions will be capped at a maximum of 25 participants per session.  We encourage you to not delay, as these two clinics will fill up fast and it will be on a first come, first serve basis.

Online registration will open on the website on Monday, March 9, 2020.
