Submitted By Carrie Reynolds on Friday, November 1, 2019
Congratulations to the Ajax Knights Minor Midget AA team on winning the Justin Williams AA tournament, held in Cobourg, Ontario, last weekend - October 25-27, 2019!

On Friday, the Knights faced off against the Whitby Wildcats White team and came out with a 4-2 win on their only game of the day.

On Saturday, the Knights would have two games, the first being against the hometown Northumberland Knighthawks. The Knights got on the board with the first 2 goals of the game. Later on in the game, Northumberland got a goal off a power play just before the end of the 2nd period to make it 2-1 and would tie the game 2-2 early in the third. The Knights pushed back with their own power play goal to make it 3-2. With just minutes remaining, Northumberland tied the game once again and 3-3 would be the final result of the game. Later in the day, the Knights would play their second game of the day against the Kanata Blazers. Kanata came out hard and would score 3 quick goals, which proved to be the difference as the Knights would go on to lose 7-3, putting the team in 4th place and would go on to the semi-finals to play the Oshawa Generals on Sunday.

On Sunday morning, the Knights would face Oshawa, battling hard to a 3-1 win and that setup the Championship game against the Kanata Blazers. After no score through 2 periods and back and forth chances for both teams, the Knights struck first with the first goal of the game and wouldn't look back. The Knights pushed and scored 2 more times in the 3rd and would go on win the Championship game 3-0!

Congratulations to the Ajax Knights Minor Midget AA team!!
