Bantam AA Wins Kawartha Lakes Tournament
Submitted By Carrie Reynolds on Sunday, September 23, 2018
Congratulations to the Ajax Knights Bantam AA team on winning the annual Kawartha Lakes AA hockey tournament last weekend.

The boys had a great weekend beating all three teams in round robin play. First game, beating the Seaway Valley Rapids 4-3. The second win against the London Jr. Knights Green 3-2 and the third win against the Streetsville Tigers 2-1.

The boys ended up finishing first in their division and advanced to the Quarter Finals, where they would shut out the Peterborough Jr. Petes 2-0.

The semi-finals set up a rematch with the London Jr. Knights Green team, when the boys showed no quit all the way to the end of overtime and won in a shoot out 3-2.

The finals set up a rematch again, this time with the Seaway Valley Rapids. The game was very fast paced and both teams showed no quit and once again, the boys went past overtime and into a shoot out. After 3 shooters and 2 shoot out goals, the boys came out as Champions with a 2-1 win!

Congrats to all the players on their efforts in going undefeated the whole tournament.

Congratulations to the players, coaching staff and parents.
