Bantam AE Wins Justin Williams Tournament
Submitted By Carrie Reynolds on Monday, September 17, 2018
Congratulations to the Ajax Knights Bantam AE team on winning the Justin Williams Tournament in Cobourg last weekend.

The Knights started with two convincing wins of 4-1 and 5-0 over Peterborough and Orillia. Belleville surprised the Knights in the third game of the round robin by scoring 3 first period goals. The Knights fought back in the second and third but eventually lost 5-4.

In the quarter finals the boys worked hard for a 2-1 win over Stouffville.

That set up the finals against the hometown Northumberland Nighthawks.

The Knights came out flying right from the opening whistle and scored to open things up. The Nighthawks responded quickly with one of there own.   The Knights continued pushing the pace of the game and never looked back winning 4-1.

All players and our goalie should be commended on their efforts this weekend as they brought a strong work ethic to every game of the tournament.

Congratulations to the team, coaching staff and parents!
