AMHA is Accepting Applications for House League Coaches, Trainers and Convenors

The AMHA is currently accepting applications for House League Coaches, Trainers and Convenors for the upcoming 2017-2018 season.  Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community and spend some time on the ice helping to develop the stars of tomorrow.

Coaches and Trainers will be required to provide a current police check.  Please click here to request your letter of authorization to obtain a police check for AMHA.  

Head Coach Qualification Requirements:

Tyke- Coach 1 (You can have a higher level but Coach 1 is required)
Novice - Juvenile– Must have minimum Coach 2 but can also have Development 1

**Every Coach must have Leader-Respect in Sports (this is an online course)**

**The House League division is looking for Convenors for the 2017/2018.**

The role of a Convenor is one of the most important roles in the AMHA House League divisions.  Games cannot be played until a Convenor is in place.  It is a rewarding and exciting volunteer position that touches all aspects of the playing experience in the Ajax Minor Hockey Association.

The Responsibilities and Duties include:

 

  • The Convenor will be the "point of contact" between the Minor House League Director and the Coaches
  • Arrange to have all games covered by either the Convenor or a Co-Convenor to perform the duties listed below:

 

o   Make sure the game sheets are completed before the game by the coaches.

o   Make sure that the referees and timekeeper are there to start all the games.

o   Report any game Issues to the House League Director.
