
Annual General Meeting and Call For AMHA Board Nominations
This year’s AGM will be held on
Tuesday, June 16th, 2015 at 7 p.m. at the Ajax Community Centre, HMS Room.
All coaches are asked to attend and to encourage
parents on their team to attend. The purpose of the meeting is to
approve amendments to the Association By-Laws, approve the financial
statements, elect the Board of Directors and discuss
new business.
Any amendments to the By-Laws by a member must be in writing, signed by a member in good standing and received by the
Secretary of the Association 30 days prior to the Annual General Meeting, deadline being
Sunday, May 17, 2015.
The Director’s positions up for election at the June 16th, 2015 AGM are as follows:
Two Year term
· Vice-President One Year Board Experience
· OMHA Director One Year Board Experience
· Minor House League Director
· Treasurer Appointed by the Board
· Equipment Director
· Tournament Director
· Registrar
· Director of OMHA Officials Level 3 Certification
One Year Term
· Major House League Director
Please note that AMHA will accept nominations from coaches or team officials, in accordance with AMHA Rules of Operation, Rule 2.16, which states: “With the exception of individuals holding the position of President, Vice-President, OMHA Director, Director of Officials and Treasurer, Members of the Board are permitted to be a team official for any team, provided the Board Member does not hold the position in a category he/she is associated with (i.e. Minor Houseleague Coach cannot be elected as Minor Houseleague Director).”
All completed Nomination forms must be received by the Secretary and the Nomination Committee Chair by no later than 48 hours prior to the AGM, being no later than 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 14th, 2015.
