Ajax Midget AA - OHF Weekend
Submitted By Carrie Reynolds on Saturday, April 18, 2015
The Ajax Knights Midget AA team headed to Hearst this past weekend to represent the OMHA at the OHF Midget AA Championships. Ajax went undefeated in round robin play finishing 4-0. On the first day of the Championship playing the London Jr. Knights (Alliance) winning 2-1 and a 3-2 win over the Hearst (Host team), day 2 brought on Copper Cliff (NOHA)..5-2 and the Mississauga North Stars (GTHL)..2-1. Finishing in first place the Ajax Knights met up with the 4th place London Jr. Knights in the semi's and won 5-1 earning a spot in the gold medal game. The battle for gold was between Ajax and the Mississauga North Stars. Our Ajax boys played hard but fell behind early and couldn't recover along with an empty net goal losing 5-1.

Ajax left with a silver medal and should be very proud of their accomplishment. It was an exciting week-end to finish a fantastic season! Congratulations to the Midget AA players, Evan Alexiou, Jordan Assenza, Payton Beckett, Daniel Berube, Ryan Devine, Andrew Dobson, Chris Elms, Ryan Henley, Grayden Ley, Marshall Lockhart, Ryan McConkey, Emeka Okaeme, Daniel Perzylo, Mitchell Saunders, Alex Schweitzer, Ryan Ward, Adam Wheaton and the coaching staff of Bill Moore (Coach)..Brad Beckett (Assistant Coach)..Eileen Lockhart (Manager)..Jim Schweitzer (Trainer)..Kevin Devine (Trainer)..and Joy Beckett (Treasurer)
